Get involved

We want to involve you in decisions that affect your home and your neighbourhood.

Why should I get involved?

We can't improve without your feedback. You can help us identify where we are doing things right and, more importantly, where we are going wrong. You'll be able to:

  • help improve your local community
  • campaign for changes you'd like to see
  • meet your neighbours and other tenants
  • develop your own skills, confidence and knowledge.

How can I get involved?

There's lots of different ways you can get involved. We've a range of opportunities so you should find something that suits you. Take a look at the options below or call us on 0131 657 0600 if you'd like to find out more. You can also email customer@castlerockedinvar.co.uk or check our involvement calendar.

ACLP Scotland (Area Customer Liaison Panel)

The group is made up of representatives from registered tenants organisations, the sheltered and amenity forum and individual tenants. They meet 6 times a year to review policies and practice. They're involved in tasks like drawing up plans for improvements and monitor performance and services.

Interested? Call us on 0131 657 0600 or email customer@castlerockedinvar.co.uk

Sheltered and amenity housing forum

This group meets 3 times a year. It's made up of tenant representatives from sheltered and amenity housing. They discuss issues affecting them and make suggestions for improving services.

Interested? Speak to your sheltered housing manager or the sheltered housing team on 0131 657 0600. You can also email customer@castlerockedinvar.co.uk.

Young tenants group UR VIEW

We're currently working with young people to set up a young tenants group. Plans include making a documentary film and being guest editors of the Rock Report.

Interested? Call us on 0131 657 0600 or email customer@castlerockedinvar.co.uk

Talkback

Join this group if you're interested in communication. You'll help us edit and deliver customer focussed newsletters, handbooks and other publications. This group ensures information for tenants is relevant and easy to follow.

Interested? Call us on 0131 657 0600 or email customer@castlerockedinvar.co.uk

Tenants and residents associations

These are local groups that reflect the interests of people who live close to each other. They hold regular meetings to share views, discuss common concerns and find solutions to problems. Ask your housing officer if your area has an association already. If it doesn't, we can help you to set one up.

Interested? Call us on 0131 657 0600 or email customer@castlerockedinvar.co.uk

Local meetings and focus groups

Sometimes we hold one-off meetings to discuss local or national issues such as new government policy that may affect you. Tell us if you're interested in these and we'll make sure you're invited along.

Interested? Call us on 0131 657 0600 or email customer@castlerockedinvar.co.uk

Community membership

Have your say by applying to be one of our active community members. You'll be invited to attend our board's annual general meeting, where you can raise any issues and question the Chair. You'll also receive copies of our accounts.
