Twechar is a former rural mining village in East Dunbartonshire.

Our first new homes will be ready in spring 2012. This is part of a wider regeneration of the village, which will lead to the creation of over 300 new homes.

Our priorities

We're currently:

• developing and building 42 new homes at Davidson Crescent
• delivering a Climate Challenge Fund project to increase recycling, creating new community vegetable growing initiatives and tackling fuel poverty
• improving local employment and training opportunities. We'll do this by capitalising on development activity in the area and by supporting employability initiatives.
