We let our homes in Edinburgh through the EH Your Key to Choice
letting scheme. It's a partnership with the City of Edinburgh
Council and partner housing associations and co-operatives in
Edinburgh. Applications are prioritised depending on housing need.
Once your form is processed you can start to express interest in
suitable properties.

Available properties are advertised each week on EH Your Key to
Choice and in the Monday edition of the Edinburgh Evening News.
Free copies of the properties supplement are also available at
all Council local neighbourhood offices, housing association
offices and libraries.
Housing
association homes - East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian
Homes in these areas are let through the homehunt choice based
letting system. Applications are prioritised depending on housing
need. Once you've completed your registration, you'll receive a
letter and registration card, along with a priority pass pack if
you qualify for one. You can then start to express interest in
suitable properties.
How to apply
It's easy to apply. All you need to do is:
- collect or request a registration form from the home finder

- log onto homehunt where you can register online.

Housing association
homes - Clackmannan, East Dunbartonshire, Falkirk and Stirling
We have a small number of homes in these areas and we therefore
allocate them differently. Please contact your housing officer at
our home finder
team.
Homes for mid-market
rent
Mid-rent properties may be more suitable for you if you're
working but can't afford market rent prices. The rents are set at a
level between market rent and those charged for councils and
housing associations. These properties are supplied with carpets
and curtains or blinds.
Are you eligible?
Applications are prioritised for:
- current tenants of housing associations and councils
- applicants on registered social landlord or council waiting
lists
- key workers providing essential public sector services such as
in teaching or health care
- applicants with local connections.
You need to earn a minimum of £1,000 a month or have an
annual salary of less than £22,000 for a single person, or £36,000
for a larger household.

Homes for market rent
We have a selection of high-quality homes at competitive market
rents in Edinburgh and East Lothian. These properties are fitted
with carpets, curtains, kitchen appliances and electric
showers.
Are you eligible?
You need to have a minimum household income of £1,500 a month. A
deposit of 1 month rent plus £100 is also required.
