Keeping informed and getting involved
We are committed to giving you good quality information that is easy to understand. We also want to involve you in decisions that may affect your home, your neighbourhood or your future. We will send you regular information about the services we provide, our performance, updates on our activities and details on how you can participate.
If English isn’t your first language or you have trouble reading we can write to you in your first language and arrange for an interpreter when we see you or speak to you on the phone. We can also write to you in Braille or large type, or prepare an audio tape or CD if you prefer information in this way. We can also talk to you over the phone or in person. To receive information from us in a different format, please speak to your housing officer.
What sort of things will you consult me on?
We will consult you on things that may affect your tenancy. We must consult you for example if we are making or changing:
- our housing, repairs or maintenance policies, if the changes are likely to affect you
- your rent and service charges
- our performance standards in housing, repairs or maintenance
- our tenant participation strategy.
